The Mission of the Mid Hudson Woodcarvers Guild
Located at the Monroe Museum Village 1010 Route 17M Monroe NY in the building known as the Salt Box.
We typically gather there to carve and exchange skills Thursday Mornings from 10 to noon and In Summer on Wednesday evenings at 7 with the first Wednesday of the month including our club business meeting and a show and tell table.
The Guild was formed March 20, 1990
November of 1990 - We found out that the name was already used and registered by a club in Hyde Park.
January 16, 1991 - Changed our name to Mid Hudson Wood Carvers.
January 8, 1992 - Added Guild to the name. We are now known as the Mid Hudson Wood Carvers Guild (MHWCG).
Initially, meetings were held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. On March 20, 1991 we changed the meetings to the 1st Wednesday of the month, effective April 3, 1991.
MHWCG was incorporated as a non profit organization on September 11, 1995.
